Verdant Haven is a smart home solution that focuses on sustainable energy by combining renewable energy, IoT, and blockchain technology. Its core is the Home Energy Management System (H.E.M.S.), which uses advanced algorithms (like ARIMA and Random Forest Regressor) to monitor and optimize energy use in real time. Users can see clear visualizations of their energy consumption and make smarter choices to save energy. Blockchain adds secure, decentralized management through smart contracts, allowing peer-to-peer energy sharing and tokenized energy distribution. The system also integrates sensors to monitor home conditions, photovoltaic panels for clean energy, and a smart irrigation system that saves water by tracking soil moisture and air quality. This project reduces reliance on fossil fuels, gives users more control over their energy, and supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals 7, 11, and 13 (clean energy, sustainable cities, and climate action). With its modular design, Verdant Haven can also be deployed in rural or disaster-prone areas to improve energy security, resilience, and quality of life.
