Session 1:
UNIFIED SIGHT brought together 12 IEEE SIGHT Groups across
Tunisia (ISI, ENIS, ENIT, ISTIC, ENSIT, ISIMG, ISIMM, FSS, INSAT,
ESPRIT, EPS, and ISSATSO) in a 3-day national gathering dedicated to
advancing humanitarian technology. The event not only introduced
the IEEE SIGHT program to prospective members but also emphasized
its strategic role in sustainable development, inspiring the creation of
new SIGHT Groups within Student Branches. The first session kicked
off with an engaging introduction to the IEEE HTB, delivered by Ms.
Nour Sbaouilji, a member of the HTAC Board. This session provided
participants with a clear understanding of the role and vision of HTB
in driving sustainable impact through technology, while also
contextualizing how IEEE SIGHT Groups contribute to advancing
humanitarian initiatives worldwide. By bridging global perspectives
with local realities, the session inspired attendees to recognize the
value of leveraging their technical skills for social good.
Session 2:
As part of the Unified Sight event, In the SIGHT Group Insights
session, Mr. Mohammad ESSAAIDI, Chair of IEEE SIGHT Global,
delivered a workshop that brought SIGHT?s mission to life through
real-world case studies and success stories. He highlighted the value
of being part of the SIGHT network, particularly the opportunities for
collaboration, funding, and skill development. The session engaged
participants in interactive discussions on how humanitarian
technologies could be adapted to address pressing local challenges,
sparking new ideas and motivating attendees to envision tangible
projects within their own communities.
Session 3:
Thes last session of Unified Sight titled ?The Petitions & Group
Formation? was led by Mrs. Rima FATHALLAH, Project Coordinator at
IEEE SIGHT Tunisia Section, who provided a clear and practical
roadmap for establishing new SIGHT Groups. She guided participants
through the essential steps of forming a strong team, conducting
thorough community needs assessments, and preparing effective
petitions for official recognition. Drawing from her experience, Mrs.
FATHALLAH also shared success strategies and best practices to help
new groups thrive. The session created a supportive space for
interested branches to ask questions, receive tailored advice, and
gain confidence in starting their own SIGHT journey, ensuring a
stronger and more connected humanitarian technology network in
Tunisia.
