Attendees: 10
session 1:
On 07/04/2025, SMARTBOTS had taken part as an exploring bootcamp
about the integration of Artificial Intelligence in robotics. The first
session focused on generative AI principles serving as an essential
foundation for advanced robotics integration.
session 2:
This session empowered attendees to pioneer innovative
advancements at the intersection of AI and robotics in academic or
industry settings and they have gained actionable insights into
designing AI-enhanced robotics solutions.
session 3:
Building on the success of Sessions 1 and 2, the third installment of
the SMARTBOTS series took place on April 9th, 2025, as part of
Education Week, and delved deep into the world of IoT and embedded
systems.
During the workshop, attendees engaged in hands-on learning by
developing projects that incorporated TinyML using TensorFlow Lite,
focusing on intelligent embedded systems for robotic applications. A
special emphasis was placed on utilizing STM32Cube.AI for deploying
machine learning models on microcontrollers with projects centered
around surgical robotics, exploring how to design smart responsive
robotic systems capable of real-time decision-making and precise
interaction with their environment.
The results were impressive: participants successfully trained and
deployed lightweight neural networks on STM32 devices, enabling
their prototypes to detect, classify and react to specific surgical
scenarios with minimal latency.
