Light For Little Fighters was a multi-day initiative combining a specialized online technical bootcamp with an in-person humanitarian engineering challenge focused on childhood cancer innovation.

The Preparatory AI Bootcamp (Feb 23–24)

To ensure participants could build impactful solutions, the event opened with two critical virtual workshops:

  • AI Fundamentals in Healthcare — led by Mrs. Nour Ardhaoui
  • AI for Leukemia Detection — led by Mrs. Imen Masmoudi
The Main Event (Feb 27–28, ENSIT)

Equipped with actionable AI knowledge, participants gathered for an intensive overnight challenge.

  • Empathy & Awareness: Mohamed Khaled Ben Ghorbal grounded the technical work in real human empathy by outlining the clinical and emotional realities of childhood cancer.
  • Pitching Masterclass: Baha Eddine Hammou delivered a pitching masterclass to help teams effectively communicate complex healthcare solutions.
  • Designing Hope Workshop: Amira Ouerfelli led the "Designing Hope" workshop to frame ideas within humanitarian engineering principles.
The Outcome

Light For Little Fighters successfully merged technical rigor with deep social responsibility. Participants emerged with a strong foundation in AI-driven medical diagnostics, the frameworks for human-centered design, and the pitching skills necessary to champion technology-driven solutions for vulnerable populations.
