At the Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs): Revolutionizing 3D Scene Reconstruction workshop, organized by the IEEE IAS PES ENSIT Student Branch Joint Chapter, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students, researchers, and AI enthusiasts gathered to delve into the transformative world of NeRFs. Led by Iheb Gafsi, an engineering student from INSAT with a passion for artificial intelligence and computer vision, the session offered a deep dive into how NeRFs are reshaping the way we capture, represent, and render 3D scenes from 2D images. Participants explored the mathematical foundations of NeRFs, including volumetric scene representation, positional encoding, and differentiable rendering. The workshop also covered the training process of NeRFs, optimization techniques using gradient descent, and the application of Fourier features for high frequency detail. A particularly engaging moment occurred when attendees collaborated in real time to design a conceptual AI-driven dashboard for monitoring renewable energy integration, sparking innovative ideas and fostering a sense of community among participants. This collaborative spirit underscored the workshop's success in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, leaving attendees inspired and equipped to contribute to the evolving landscape of sustainable energy solutions.
